China's fiscal revenues hit CNY5.13 trillion in 2007

Figures from China’s Ministry of Finance show that China's fiscal revenue in 2007 hit CNY5.13 trillion (USD733 billion) with an increase of CNY1.25 trillion and up 32.4% year on year.
As the major source of revenue, tax income has achieved CNY4.56 trillion with an increase of CNY1.15 trillion and is 33.7% higher over the previous year, accounting for 88.9% of the total fiscal revenue. Meanwhile, the non-tax revenue has contributed CNY569.1 billion with a rise of CNY105.67 billion and is 22.8% up year on year, accounting for 11.1% of the total revenue.
Consumption tax, which is also one of the major revenue categories, hit CNY220.69 billion with an increase of 17% over 2006, accounting for 4.8% of the total revenue.
